Firestorm Vs MK through the eyes of our roving reporter Sharon ....

Oh god, I have just missed the first goal by MK and as it turns out their only goal. Goal scored by no: 18 and assisted by No: 6 .. timed at 1 min 13 seconds!!
Mk looks a determined bunch who are wide awake, unlike Guildford!
Now some action, Richard makes a break away and heads for the goal, at this point I find out that Cameron Sadler is not on the ice but sat in front of me, he has injured his knee, poor Cam.
We have scored, Mac and assisted by Waller and the crowd roars. Now Joe has a go and he scores and the crowd went wild, they now appear to be awake, Jeppe makes a cracking save. Now Luke makes a diving poke check and breaks up the attack.
Richard makes a lovely shot but off side is called, at the moment we are in the 1st period with 10 minutes to go and MK are looking stronger, lots of attacking now going on, Matt is getting stuck in along with Ollie and Christie. A fab long range shot from Seb with a rebound shot from Richard resulting in a goal. Mk No: 17 takes a trip to the penalty box giving Jason something to do, apparently there was some cross checking.
But we are still not looking the stronger team; lovely pass from Marcus M to Louis, Mk player is down for a brief moment, poor thing.
Marcus M takes a slap shot from the blue line and the crowd goes wild and his parents look on proudly. Cam Sadler looks on through the glass looking sad.
Jeppe saves a goal, Jeppe makes a save with his left hand, and Liz Waller is dancing.
MK saves a goal and Marcus M goes to the penalty box for tripping, not sure this is correct. Chris makes a break away in penalty kill and scores, Amy goes mad.
Breaking news, have just heard that the U18 have won 3-1 against Bracknell, well done.
Now half time, I waved to Vic across the seating and the raffle is drawn and I didn’t win, must have been fixed.
2nd period, Luke has a wee hit, MK No: 8 sent off for slashing, power play goal by Chris. An amazing moment MK goalie is laying on the floor trying to save goals with every player having a go at getting the puck into the net but it just wouldn’t go in. A little more hitting is now going on. Marcus H now takes a trip to the penalty box. Penalty kill and we play really well. Mac to Chris, lovely skating but goalie in the way of the net. Joe has a lovely skate going right past MK and passes. Marcus H has just wiped out MK 8 and he doesn’t look best pleased. MK 19 goes to box. Now Waller has a skate twisting and turning beautiful moves, Luke takes a shot but too high, then Marcus M but MK in the way. Guildford has another go but no goal but lovely play, the MK goalie is wide awake. Guildford have stepped up their play and battling away, can’t mention any players as all too fast for me to see, sorry but you all done well.
Lois is now getting chatted up by a rink man and fluttering her eyes. Now more fantastic hockey …. Josh Waller scores unassisted bringing the score to 7-1. The ref has blown the whistle but not sure why but lets hope he does. Louis has a lovely skate and lots of activity breaks out. Mac makes a run down the ice, Louis to Josh W, some great passing boys. Josh W now has a run down the ice and scores, play continues up and down the ice. Mk thinks the puck is theirs but Guildford have other ideas. Chris is persistent but the goalie won’t have it. We are now in the final minute and Marcus H makes another trip to the box for pushing and Marcus M joins him. Josh S takes a lovely skate and scores; the crowd goes wild as time is blown. Well done boys and I am really sorry for not mentioning everybody by name will try better if asked to write again.

Final Score 8-1 and Spirit of the game to MK # 19 and for Guildford to Jeppe for a great game in goal.
